In the 70's, I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a 1933 Riley
Lincock, registration VE 8778. The previous owner had stripped it down to
the chassis with a view to restoring it until, unfortunately he suffered a
heart attack and could no longer continue. At the time I was able to tow it
to a rented garage in Ashford, Middlesex, where the long slow process of
restoration began. With help from the Riley Register I was able to
source original parts, and what a beauty she was when finished.
Click on the links to the side, you will be able to see pictures taken during
the restoration process and the finished product. She won many prizes and was a
regular at many Vintage car rallies. A great many friends were made during the
years on the show circuit which both cars were always driven to as well
as whilst a member of the Riley Register, If you can remember me
and the car, why not drop me a line?
Please take your time browsing the site, I hope you will find the pictures
of interest. If you know the whereabouts of either of these two vehicles
now, I would be interested to know how they are getting on.
